Set at the edge of Aschau im Chiemgau, a picturesque spa town nestled in the Bavarian Alps, Agrad Chalet Resort combines thoughtful design with an unwavering respect for nature. The 12 chalets blend the charm of alpine cabins with the clean lines of modern tiny homes. Crafted from wood, stone, and steel, each space is warm, airy, and effortlessly stylish.
These two-story chalets can host up to six people, with two bedrooms, a cozy living area (with a sofa bed), a full kitchen, and a private spa with hot tub and sauna. Your private garden comes with loungers and seating for slow afternoons.
Not staying in a chalet? The 15 suites are just as dreamy. Located in a separate building, ground floor suites have private gardens and direct pool access, while upper-floor suites offer sweeping views and a balcony sauna.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU?
Pickled veggies, cured fish, roast beef—plus a big yes to the cheese selection. Homemade granola? A must. And the Chalet Booster smoothie (apple, carrot, orange, ginger)? Non-negotiable. Breakfast here is a delicious ritual: just tick your faves on a form the day before, and your hand-picked spread will be delivered to your door the next morning—fresh, beautifully arranged, and right on time.
Dinner? Easy and delicious. Chef Lukas’ "Gourmet Jar" menu arrives ready to heat and plate. Or opt for fondue night—cheese, meat or veggie—served with Evi’s now-famous wood-fired bread. Yes, the one from breakfast you couldn’t stop talking about.
Warm summer evenings call for grilling under the stars. Open a bottle (or two) from the in-chalet wine fridge and gather around the garden table. Want to dine out? The area boasts everything from rustic taverns to high-end restaurants. Craving leads the way here—no dress code required.
WHAT'S THERE TO DO?
SOAK UP NATURE
At Agrad, the goal is simple: feel good in nature. Yoga, Pilates, and a private gym are there when you want to move. Right outside your door, the Bärnsee moor offers peaceful jogging paths and forest walks. For a wellness twist, take a dip in Aschau’s natural moor bath. Just minutes away, the fairytale-like Schloßrinn waterfall is a must—90 meters of crashing water, mossy rocks, and pure Alpine air.
THE CASTLE & THE BENCHES
Agrad’s alpine skyline is crowned by Hohenaschau Castle. Join a guided tour to explore its history—or stumble upon one of Aschau’s 200 artfully designed benches along the way. The town has earned the nickname "village of benches" for good reason.
HIKE THE KAMPENWAND
At 1,662 meters, Kampenwand is Chiemgau’s crown jewel. You can hike it, take the cable car, or mix both. Once at the top, enjoy jaw-dropping views from the Chiemsee to the Central Alps—and don’t miss the mountain huts serving hearty Bavarian food.
