Why PRESULIS stole our hearts:
- Quiet luxury, beautifully done: Understated, refined and full of warmth – where elegant design meets a natural, easy sense of comfort.
- A true culinary highlight: With a clear focus on quality and flavour, dining here feels thoughtful, creative and effortlessly refined.
- Perfectly placed: Surrounded by nature, yet close to town – offering the best of both worlds in one seamless setting.
PRESULIS is the place to be if you’r:
- Seeking calm & close to nature: For those who appreciate the quiet of the mountains and love to recharge surrounded by nature.
- Drawn to the outdoors (and good food): Spend your days exploring the mountains, then unwind with thoughtful, refined cuisine in the evening.
- Looking for flexibility with comfort: Ideal for those who enjoy the freedom of an apartment – without giving up the ease and service of a hotel.
THE VIBE
Presulis Hideaway is perfectly placed for exploring – whether it’s the surrounding Dolomite peaks or the charming streets of nearby Bolzano. And yet, it’s just as tempting to stay exactly where you are. To slow down, to take in the quiet, and to simply let the day unfold at its own pace.
With its clean, considered architecture, its close connection to nature and the hosts’ understated, welcoming presence, this is a place that gently pulls you away from the noise of everyday life.
There’s a certain rhythm to it all: morning coffee on the terrace, afternoons spent by the pool with mountain views, evenings shaped by beautifully crafted dishes. And somewhere in between, that subtle feeling of slowing down – of not needing to be anywhere else, because everything that matters is already right here.
THE STAY
Tucked away in a small hamlet just outside Völs am Schlern, Presulis Hideaway feels almost secluded – framed by the dramatic Schlern massif behind and the gentle patchwork of vineyards and orchards stretching out in front. It’s precisely this setting that gives the place its quiet, unhurried character.
Step inside, and that sense of calm continues. The apartments are defined by soft tones, natural materials and handcrafted pieces made by host Meinhard himself – each one adding a personal, almost tactile layer to the space. Paired with the clean architecture and the ever-present backdrop of nature, there’s a seamless flow between indoors and out, creating room to simply slow down and settle in.
For moments of deeper relaxation, the small but thoughtfully designed spa offers everything you need. A Finnish sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin ease tired muscles, while the ice fountain provides a refreshing contrast. From the relaxation room, floor-to-ceiling windows open up to the garden, where the year-round heated outdoor pool awaits – with views stretching towards Schloss Prösels, the Schlern and the Ritten plateau beyond.
THE FOOD
From morning to evening, dining at Presulis is very much part of the experience – and it’s done exceptionally well. Breakfast sets the tone: crusty bread, regional cheeses and cold cuts, honey, homemade jams, muesli, cakes and freshly prepared egg dishes. Add coffee from the nearby roastery, and the day couldn’t start any better – especially when enjoyed out on the terrace in the morning sun, second cup in hand.
In the afternoon, things shift into a more relaxed, Italian rhythm. Guests are invited to an easy-going aperitivo, with drinks and small bites served buffet-style. Just don’t overdo it – the real highlight is still to come.
Dinner is served in the casual fine dining restaurant, à la carte and with a clear sense of style. Each dish is as thoughtful on the plate as it is in flavour, beautifully presented and full of character. And with host Sylvia also being a trained sommelier, you can trust that the wine pairing will be just right.
For those who prefer to keep things flexible, all fourteen apartments come with fully equipped kitchenettes. But honestly – it would be a shame not to indulge in what the kitchen has to offer. The restaurant is also open to external guests, which says quite a lot about the level of cuisine you can expect here.
THE ADVENTURE
With the Schlern-Rosengarten Nature Park, the Seiser Alm, the Latemar massif and even Bolzano just around the corner, the options for exploring are virtually endless.
Whether it’s a day of hiking or skiing on the Seiser Alm, a visit to the iconic Lake Carezza, a stroll through vineyards and orchards – or simply a little shopping trip into town – every day can look different.
And the best part: with a bus stop right behind the house and complimentary access to public transport, you can leave the car exactly where it is and set off with ease.
