PACHERS
NEUSTIFT • SOUTH TYROL
Nestled among rolling vineyards just minutes from Brixen, Pachers is where charm, design, and heartfelt family spirit come together. For three generations, the Huber family has poured their passion into this place, creating a haven made for slowing down and savoring the moment. Here, history, architecture, and sustainability intertwine in effortless harmony.
Hotelstory, through the lens and words of

Why PACHERS stole our hearts:
- Family-run with heart and soul: Three siblings, one shared vision — Johanna, Sebastian, and Michael are the third generation to run Pachers, pouring love and passion into every detail.
- Where sustainability meets history: During the recent renovation, the focus was firmly on mindful design. Original wooden ceilings were carefully preserved, furniture was restored, and even the timber from an old terrace tree — felled due to disease — now lives on as the grand reception table.
- Moments of true indulgence: The kitchen celebrates the region’s bounty — fresh, inventive, and full of flavor. Every dish tells a story of place, season, and genuine craftsmanship.
PACHERS is the place to be if you're:
- For explorers and nature lovers: Whether it’s mountain biking, hiking, or skiing — adventure begins right outside the door. With complimentary bikes ready to go, discovering the surrounding landscape couldn’t be easier.
- For food enthusiasts: From regional slow-food dishes to creative evening menus and relaxed pranzetti under the open sky, Pachers is a delight for anyone who loves to linger over good food and great company.
- For the workation crowd: If you’re looking to blend work and leisure, this is the place. Amid the vineyards, new ideas flow freely — inspired by calm, wide-open views, and a perfectly frothed cappuccino on the sun terrace.
THE VIBE
Step inside Pachers, and you feel it right away: everything here is genuine. No stiff lobby, no forced design — just a blend of warmth and creativity that instantly makes you feel at home. The house radiates personality. Everywhere you look, there’s a story waiting to be discovered: in the old wooden ceiling that preserves the charm of times past, and perhaps most beautifully in the large communal table at the entrance — crafted from the wood of a tree that once stood on the terrace and had to be felled due to disease. It’s a perfect symbol of what Pachers is all about: bringing people together — to chat, laugh, and share spontaneous moments.
The mood is easygoing, vibrant, yet peaceful. In the morning, the first rays of sunlight pour through the south-facing windows of the suites, while the surrounding mountains glow in golden light. Step out onto the terrace, and you’ll hear the soft chirping of birds as your gaze drifts across the vineyards stretching toward Brixen.
In the evening, as the sun slips behind the peaks, the atmosphere grows even more intimate: candlelight flickers in the restaurant, the scent of freshly prepared local dishes fills the air, and gentle conversation mingles with the clinking of glasses.
Pachers perfectly balances two worlds — tranquility and liveliness, privacy and connection. You can retreat to your own terrace or unwind completely in the self-spa. Or, if you’re in the mood for company, join the vibrant rhythm of the house: over breakfast, dinner, a spontaneous card game at the big table, or a chat with Johanna, Sebastian, and Michael, the hosts who make it their mission to ensure every guest’s stay feels unforgettable.
It’s a place where tradition is alive and new ideas are embraced. Where you can draw inspiration — from the mountains, the food, the design — yet still have the freedom to simply be. The atmosphere at Pachers is an invitation: be curious, be open, be yourself, and let yourself be charmed by the little details that make everyday life fade away.
THE STAY
The rooms at Pachers are as individual as the guests who stay in them – each one tells its own story.
Suite Maria is a heartfelt tribute to the family’s grandmother. Bright and full of light, with a south-facing balcony and a hand-painted mural that hostess Johanna created with a friend over a crate of beer, it’s charming, creative, and one-of-a-kind – a place that makes you feel instantly at home.
The Wilhelm Rooms, named after Pachers’ founding father Wilhelm “Opa Willi” Huber, are simple, warm, and welcoming – perfect for unwinding, reflecting, or simply enjoying the moment. A little insider tip: Wilhelm was allergic to animal hair – so these rooms are guaranteed to stay cozy and fur-free.
And because Pachers is far more than just a place to sleep, your stay flows effortlessly into movement, wellness, and relaxation. On rainy days or during crisp mornings, the fitness room with a digital mirror is ready for a personalized workout, tailored entirely to you.
Afterwards – or whenever you feel like slowing down – the Self Spa invites you to pause. Simple signs guide you through each step of the Hamam ritual, accompanied by fragrant soaps waiting in your room. You move effortlessly through steam, scent, and soft lather – a ritual that both revives and soothes.
If you’d like to linger a little longer, slip into the pool, enjoy the warmth of the sauna, or find a quiet corner in the relaxation lounge. Maybe wrapped in a blanket. Or swaying gently in a hanging chair with a good book in hand. Here, it all comes down to one thing: switching off, letting go, and doing something good for yourself – entirely at your own pace.
THE FOOD
At Pachers, everything revolves around mindful indulgence — from sunrise to sunset.
The day begins with a breakfast designed to fuel body and soul. Alongside a generous buffet of fresh bread, fruit, and even DIY matcha, guests can choose their favorite egg dish from a small à la carte menu. Every morning, a freshly blended smoothie adds a burst of energy — the perfect start to a day full of possibility, whether it’s a hike, a bike ride, or a leisurely stroll through town.
If you need a little pick-me-up later on, the daily menu offers light bites and small dishes — ideal after an active morning or as a delicious mid-day pause. Those who prefer a fuller experience can turn to the weekly menu, where new favorites are discovered again and again.
Come evening, it’s time for the culinary highlight of the day: a creative three-course dinner, thoughtfully composed yet flexible enough to suit your mood. Feeling extra hungry? Add another course — at Pachers, no one leaves the table unsatisfied. The Prosit Package completes the experience, with a curated selection of drinks — water, juices, beer, and regional wines — all served by the glass and included.
There are no rest days at Pachers — only good days. All 365 of them. Locals love to stop by too, because here, you don’t just eat — you savor, you chat, and you stay a little longer than planned.
THE ADVENTURE
It all begins before you even arrive. A few days ahead of your trip to Pachers, an email lands in your inbox — a simple online check-in that frees up more time for what truly matters once you’re there. Alongside it comes a personal wishlist, inviting you to share a few thoughts: “Age is just a number!”, “Your vacation. Your choices.”, “How do you want your stay to feel?” Perhaps calm and mindful. Or inspiring, active, maybe even a little unexpected.
When you finally check in, a small welcome bag is waiting — complete with two glass water bottles for your stay and beautifully curated brochures filled with ideas tailored to your preferences. The result? A stay that feels effortless and authentic — personal, balanced, and free of expectations.
Step outside, and a world of possibility unfolds around Pachers. Brixen and the Eisack Valley reveal their charm in every season. Just across the road lies Neustift Monastery — a cultural gem and the perfect starting point for walks or bike rides. And Brixen’s old town, the oldest in Tyrol, invites you to wander through cobbled lanes, sip coffee in sunlit cafés, and browse charming little boutiques.
In spring and summer, the landscape calls with hiking and biking trails for every pace — from the gentle Apple Trail to the scenic Scheibenberg route. Especially striking: the Peitlerkofel circuit, offering breathtaking Dolomite views, or the tranquil Schrüttensee lakes in the quiet Schalderer Valley.
Come autumn, the Eisack Valley glows golden, with chestnut groves, vineyards, and Törggele trails right on your doorstep. And when winter settles in, calm returns — on Mount Plose, you’ll find skiing, winter hikes, and cozy mountain huts with sweeping views.
Whether it’s culture, movement, or pure indulgence — at Pachers, every adventure begins right outside your door.
