KURBLHOF
LEUTASCH - TIROL
Welcome to Kurblhof – where Italian warmth meets Alpine grounding, and every detail whispers: slow down, you’ve arrived. Alessio cooks from the heart, bakes with soul. Theresa welcomes you like
family – always warm, always real, always with an eye for what matters most. The result? Hospitality that lingers. Food that nourishes. A retreat that feeds both body and spirit – gently,
mindfully, and with plenty of feeling.
Hotelstory, through the lens and words of Marika Unterladstätter

Why KURBLHOF stole our hearts:
- A next-level home away from home – Think the scent of wood, interiors straight out of a design magazine, and yes: spa and yoga studio included.
- Thoughtful hospitality – Being looked after by Theresa and Alessio is like staying with your favourite aunt and uncle. If your aunt made great coffee. And your uncle baked bread at sunrise.
- Conscious indulgence – You can literally taste the love, care and intention in every bite. Organic, honest, and full of that little Italian spark called Amore.
KURBLHOF is the place to be if you’re:
- Breakfast lovers – Alessio’s morning spread isn’t just breakfast. It’s a quiet little celebration, homemade and heart-filled.
- Design-dreamers – Natural materials, clean lines, cozy textures and thoughtful touches. Architecture you can wrap yourself in.
- Mountain explorers – Summer hikes, winter cross-country skiing, and all the wide open nature you can breathe in. Leutasch is a natural playground for every season.

wHAT's THE VIBE?
Their website says: "Ours is a love story.“ Sounds sweet, doesn’t it? But when you’re there, you get it: it’s not a tagline. It’s the foundation this place is built on.
It all started with a summer internship in Italy. Two months turned into two years. A holiday romance became a shared vision. Theresa – a vibrant Tyrolean with an open heart – and Alessio – a soulful Italian with a gift for good food – took over her parents’ guesthouse „Bio-Landpension Monika“ in 2010. Not to run it like a hotel, but to create something that felt more like them: genuine, grounded, meaningful.
When the land next door came up for sale, they didn’t hesitate. They built their dream from the ground up – and named it Kurblhof.
The building? Natural timber, clay, soft light and a pure architectural language. No frills, no noise – just quiet confidence. Everything here feels good because it was made that way.
Theresa and Alessio call Kurblhof their passion project. But really, once you arrive – it feels a little like it’s yours too.

Both houses are set in lush greenery, offering plenty of space to breathe, unwind, and simply be.

WHAT's LIKE TO STAY HERE?
Two houses, one feeling. Alongside the new Kurblhof with its seven apartments, they still lovingly run the original Bio-Landpension Monika – a laid-back, heartwarming guesthouse with 14 double rooms and just as much soul. Both are set within peaceful gardens dotted with old trees, a playground, and plenty of space to breathe.
Each apartment is named after a nearby valley and offers the views to match – straight from your balcony. Inside? Sun-filled spaces, hand-crafted details, and natural materials everywhere. White fir beds for deep sleep. Shielded wiring for total digital calm. Wi-Fi? Nope. And that’s the point – disconnect to truly reconnect.
The building follows the principles of bio-architecture: timber and clay walls, sheep’s wool insulation, geothermal heating, solar energy. It’s not just beautiful. It’s built to feel right.
One highlight? The rooftop spa. Two saunas, a light-flooded relaxation lounge and a fresh-air terrace with mountain views. Perfect for slowing down the swirl in your head. Add a massage if you like – and stay as long as it feels good (open until 10 p.m.).
Another favourite: the serene yoga space with floor-to-ceiling windows, rope wall, and direct garden access. Guided sessions take place several times a week – and in between, the space is all yours. Mat, bolster, calm included.
In short: Staying at Kurblhof feels like coming home to yourself – surrounded by wood, light and a deep sense of calm.

WHAT'S ON THE MENU?
You could stay in and cook in your apartment. But trust us: follow the smell of fresh bread to Landpension Monika and let Alessio work his morning magic.
His breakfasts are organic, seasonal and full of soul. He knows every local supplier by name. He visits the farms. He cares how things are grown. For Alessio, bio isn’t branding – it’s a matter of respect.
Expect: warm homemade breads, perfectly grilled vegetables, marinated antipasti and spreads that taste like someone truly meant it. Everything is prepared with patience, purpose – and a secret ingredient called heart.
“I’ll happily share my recipes,” Alessio says, smiling. “But people always say, ‘I just can’t make it taste the same.’” Then he taps his chest, shrugs and adds: “That part… can’t be copied.”
And since great taste takes time, there’s no rush. Have another coffee. Another chat. Before you know it, it’s almost lunchtime – and no one’s in a hurry.
Dinner? Totally up to you. The Kurblhof’s farm shop is a tiny treasure chest of local organic goodies – perfect for throwing together an easy meal in your apartment. Yes, there’s even ice cream in the freezer.
Want to dine out? Just ask Theresa. She’s a local – and knows every hidden gem in the area. And if you’re lucky? It’s Pizza Night. No schedule, no flyers. But if the weather’s fine and the vibe is right, Alessio lights the wood-fired oven. Everyone gathers around the big table, shares stories, shares slices – and tastes the good life in Leutasch.

wHAT's THERE TO DO?
Leutasch sits at 1,200 metres, nestled in the sun-drenched Tyrolean Highlands, alongside Seefeld, Mösern, Reith and Scharnitz. Summers are gentle, winters snow-sure – and year-round, it’s all about crisp air, big skies, and space to move and breathe.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING – glide into the light
With over 245 km of trails, this region is one of the top cross-country destinations in the Alps. Whether you prefer classic or skate style, racing or cruising – it’s less about speed, more about soul. And trust us: sunshine on snow never gets old.
HIKING, CLIMING, BIKING – with a side of Knödel
650 km of hiking trails, countless climbing routes, 570 km of cycling paths – and over 50 mountain huts ready to feed your face (and your soul).
A favourite? The Gaistal valley. Ride along the river Leutascher Ache to Seebensee, or hike it: 30 minutes to Hämmermoosalm, an hour more to Gaistalalm. Order the Almrösti – crispy, golden, bigger than your head. Life doesn’t get much better.
MYSTICAL GORGES & WATER ADVENTURES
For families and explorers alike, the Leutascher Geisterklamm is a thrill: boardwalks, bridges, thundering waterfalls and a little touch of mountain magic. Info boards, riddles and play stations make it fun and educational. Afterwards, refuel at Restaurant Klammgeist. Theresa told us to try the Kaspressknödel. We listened. We smiled. She was right.
Want it wilder and quieter? Try the Gleirschklamm. The approach takes an hour – enough time to leave everyday life behind. Then: rushing water, dramatic rock faces, and pure unfiltered nature. On the way back through the forest, stop at Scharnitzer Alm for a caramelised Kaiserschmarrn that might just ruin all others for you.
BEST VIEWS, NO CROWDS
Sometimes the best things are right outside your door: walk straight from Kurblhof up the Kurblhang and reach a peaceful lookout in 45 minutes. The view? Leutasch below, the mighty Wetterstein mountains rising opposite – eye to eye with the Alps. And if you're craving even more panorama: Theresa knows all the best hidden lookouts, like the Brunschkopf. Just ask her.
SWIM WITH A VIEW – RIDE WITH EASE
Kurblhof may not have a pool – but you get free access to the Alpenbad Leutasch: indoor and outdoor pools, a sport lane, a kids’ zone – and all with mountain views.
And thanks to your guest card, you can travel the entire high plateau by bus for free. The stop? Just around the corner.
NEED A LITTLE TOWN TIME?
If you’re craving a dash of city charm, Seefeld is your spot: a stylish Alpine village with cafés, boutiques and an unexpectedly cosmopolitan flair.
Want more? Hop on the train to Innsbruck – just 35 minutes away and bursting with culture, history and a serious wow-factor. Think: medieval old town, cutting-edge design stores, mountains rising behind rooftops. It’s like two worlds – blended into one perfect postcard.
